Weak*-closed invariant subspaces and ideals of semigroup algebras on foundation semigroups
Let S be a locally compact foundation semigroup with identity and be its semigroup algebra. Let X be a weak*-closed left translation invariant subspace of In this paper, we prove that X is invariantly complemented in if and only if the left ideal of has a bounded approximate identity. We also prove that a foundation semigroup with identity S is left amenab...

Let E be a Dirichlet form on L2(X) and Ω an open subset of X. Then one can define Dirichlet forms ED, or EN , corresponding to E but with Dirichlet, or Neumann, boundary conditions imposed on the boundary ∂Ω of Ω. If S, S and S are the associated submarkovian semigroups we prove, under general assumptions of regularity and locality, that Stφ = S D t φ for all φ ∈ L2(Ω) and t > 0 if and only if ...

0. Introduction. Let H be a complex Hilbert space of finite or infinite dimension, and let E be a collection of bounded linear operators on H. We say E is reducible if there exists a subspace of H, closed by definition and different from the trivial subspaces {0} and H which is invariant under every member of E . We call E triangularizable if the set of invariant subspaces under E contains a ma...

متن کاملInvariant Subspaces, Quasi-invariant Subspaces, and Hankel Operators
In this paper, using the theory of Hilbert modules we study invariant subspaces of the Bergman spaces on bounded symmetric domains and quasi-invariant sub-spaces of the Segal–Bargmann spaces. We completely characterize small Hankel operators with finite rank on these spaces.
